Each dish had its very own distinct delicious flavor. For dessert I got the Butter Carmel cake which was moist and so good. Then my greedy butt went back in and got the peach cobbler and I be if that didn't taste better than my own grandmother's, rip grams. Not really bad not really delicious. Just OK but very unique. The cabbage and the greens were both wonderful. The cornbread was good not overly sweet and the fried chicken was decent the batter had a wonderful flavor. I loved it French fries of course was good and the fish was good. We will return! Let me tell you ,the Soul Platter from Betty's was the best meal I have had in forever, period. The "chicken" was not just delicious, it actually tasted like homemade fried chicken from my Nan. The greens were savory and amazing, with the perfect amount of bite to them and a tiny bit of heat. The yams were perfectly tender and glazed, and even the fries were perfectly cooked. If I wasn't already dancing in my seat with the meal, that blueberry lemon cake sealed the deal, and was still warm when I bit into it. Betty's is a diamond in the rough, and I am so happy that we tried them. I've never had soul food, but now I can with this amazing vegan restaurant. Every bite was delectable. Everything had its own unique exquisite taste and everything came together so deliciously I've pre-made plans to come here again when I'm in OKC. Lovely lady that took our order and very kind. “ Betty’s has to be one of the best vegan spots out here! I’ve been a consistent customer since they’ve opened and they’ve only gotten better and better. I haven’t tried one item on their menu I didn't like, although I have to say, the chimichanga, soul bowl, and the cheezeburger are my top three. For desserts, the peach cobbler is my go-to, but their cakes are also amazing. I forgot I had left a strawberry cake in the fridge for a week, and it was STILL MOIST!! They are constantly updating their menu with a creative and unique spin on typical vegan food, and quite honestly, you can’t even tell any of it is vegan!!! They pack everything with so much flavor, even my carnivore boyfriend (who hates mushrooms) is amazed by how well they can conceal some of their ingredients. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. The owners are always welcoming and such a sweet couple. Give this place a try! You will be stunned!! ”
